Satisfy Your Carb Craving With A No-Carb Noodle “Miracle”

Craving comfort food but trying to watch your carb intake? I get it.

While there are there are plenty of low-carb “carb food” options out there, most of them taste…well, kind of like sand.

Thankfully, several years ago I discovered Miracle Noodles. Originally called “Shirataki” noodles, Miracle Noodles, which have a chewy, rice-noodle type of texture, are traditionally a staple known and used in Asia for over two thousand years. They are made from a soluble plant fiber called glucomannan, which in Miracle Noodles is derived from a carboydrate-free flour made from konnyaku imo root.

So how do you cook them?

The answer is…you don’t. To the extreme benefit of any “busy” healthy eaters out there, it’s this simple:

Miracle Noodles are instantly ready. You just drain the pack and rinse in a strainer or colander for a couple of minutes. Then you add any number of spices, herbs, vegetables, seeds, nuts or lean meats to complete the meal. As an added bonus, this glucomannan fiber significantly slows the absorption of sugar into your bloodstream means that any carbohydrates that you may consume with the Miracle Noodles would actually cause less damage.

Along with noodles that you can spice up yourself, Miracle Noodles now has “done for you” keto meals that I’ve really been enjoying. For example, their Thai Peanut keto meal incorporates their angel hair pasta noodle (my fav) along with a low calorie Thai peanut sauce packet you stir into the noodles and voila!. The whole meal tastes like Pad Thai but is mostly just water (97% water) and 3% plant fiber. It’s naturally low in calories (70 per serving) and has just 3g net carbs per serving. You can add your own chopped onions, peanuts, etc. to it if you want to dress it up a bit, though you don’t really even need to.

Safe to say that Miracle Noodles has made eating low-carb a heck of a lot more enjoyable. Whenever I have a craving for spaghetti, rice, or any other normally carb-rich meal, I instead go straight to my pantry where I am stocked up on Miracle Noodles.

My Favorite Vinegar (In A Limited-Edition, Must-Have Set)

Did you know that vinegar can work wonders for your blood sugar?

According to Carol Johnston, RD, Ph.D., professor and assistant director of the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion at Arizona State University, Pheonix, “The scientific evidence of vinegar’s blood sugar benefits is strong and consistent.”

As Dr. Johnston explains, “A recent statistical analysis of the 11 best studies concluded that consuming vinegar with a meal, compared with having the same meal without vinegar, reduced postmeal blood sugar spikes by an average of 40%.”

Now, there’s a reason why this is important. Much of the metabolic damage caused by diabetes—and prediabetes—is caused by these spikes.

For the best effect on blood sugar, it’s best to consume vinegar at or near the start of a meal. For the most reliable effect, dilute two tablespoons of vinegar in a glass of water and drink it with the first bites of the meal.

For the most delicious, nutritious vinegar, I recently discovered a four-vinegar set available exclusively from T.J. Robinson. You may have heard this name before as I’ve raved about his artisanal olive oils in the past and have had him on my podcast as well. This time, it’s all about his latest collection of the four most outstanding barrel selections from Europe’s top artisanal vinegar masters. These best-of-Europe kinds of vinegar are so flavorful, once you taste them, you will never again be satisfied with store-bought, mass-produced vinegar, which is notorious for containing additives, chemicals, thickeners, colors and other nasties. These fine artisanal vinegars from T.J. also make for a great birthday, anniversary, or anytime gift.

My New Parenting Book Is Available To Pre-Order Now

It’s officially done.

That is, I just put the finishing touches on my brand new parenting book – which covers and decodes everything from education to baby nutrition to discipline to legacy to finances to college and much, much more!

It’s called…drumroll please…

Boundless Parenting: Tools, Tactics & Habits of Great Parents.

This book isn’t just written by me and my superstar wife Jessa. Rather, I put together a dream list of amazing and inspirational parents who I admire and asked them to share their best-of-the-best tools, tactics, and habits for raising incredible children in this modern world.

Part of my motivation to create this anthology of parenting wisdom was my own wish to know “all the answers” before I became a parent. I would have loved to have had the perfect parenting blueprint. Unfortunately, when Jessa and I were young parents, there was no step-by-step instruction guide that existed for how to raise impactful, happy, and fulfilled young humans – so we, along with most parents, walked into this life-altering journey without a blueprint.

But now it exists. Why try to go on this parenting journey alone and make time-wasting and life-changing mistakes when parents who have come before you can share with you all their insider secrets?

So now Boundless Parenting is here…I couldn’t be more excited, and guess what? Pre-orders are LIVE right now! Head over to BoundlessParentingBook.com to learn more and sign-up for pre-order notifications.
